I applied for a home loan with FNB. The loan was granted and subsequently paid in full to the attorneys. A week later I paid the proceeds from the sale of my previous home into my bond account to lower the interest charges.
My first monthly instalment was calculated on the full approved amount and charged to my debit order. The amount of R400 000 which I have paid into the bond account is now not available to me and I am still being charged a monthly instalment on the full amount approved.
This is totally unacceptable as I now have to pay to register my child for university and the funds I had kept in my bond account is now suddenly not available although the flexi option was granted on the account!!!
I have had with the incompetence of the FNB staff!!!
