I applied for a re-advance of R210 000 on my home loan which was approved. On the 6th of May 2013 I received a Quotation and pre-agreement statement which I needed to sign and sent back to the Bank. My monthly repayment was going to be R2148.32. The 15th of May 2013 I paid the Bank R6000.00 and they went into my account and take a further R2500 without my knowledge.
On the 20th 0f May 2013 I received a letter from Standard Bank informing me that my total monthly instalment is now R2538.98
In June I paid the Bank R4000, and then I received a letter informing me that I have short paid the Bank by R27.00 and as a result of that my home loan Balance was going to be increased. Further to that standard Bank will re-spread my arrears amount to a new monthly instalment of R2643.02 and my account will be referred to their Customer Debt Management. I tried to resolve the issue with standard bank and they fail and I was informed that I need to pay that amount whether I like it or not. I even pleaded with them to write me a referral letter to the Banking ombudsman to no avail
