On the 20th of November i applied for a home loan ref no 4616969 via private bank. After waiting for a week i called the call center and was told that the application was lying idle and unassigned. I logged an escalation (ref 56091137) and i never heard anything of it again. The next time i enquired i was told that the application had been deleted. I subsequently had the bank capture another application (ref 4625113) and again after receiving no communication whatsoever for a week i finally called the call center today only to be told that the application has been deleted AGAIN!!!Since the 20th when i applied i have never been appraised of anything by standard bank save for the banker who captured my application. I spoke to a guy (Eden Fynn) who told me that they are busy re-instating the application so that processing can start all over again. No one seems to be aware that my offer to purchase has an expiry date and that this circus cannot go on forever. I am taking this to the NCR and the ombudsman. This cannot possibly be allowed to happen. A serious seller is awaiting a response whilst some joker is deleting the applications at standard bank.
