First National Bank
Home Loan Issue - Flexi Bond

Hi,

Me and my wife recently bought a house and decided to do the financing of it through FNB. In the meantime the house was registered and we were waiting to make our first payment.
Unfortunately we were a bit uneducated when it comes to HOW we need to pay for it. I know this works just like any finance deal that a debit order will follow and I accept that now.
So due to a public holiday the payment did not go off and I decided to rather pay in the bond manually instead of possibly missing a payment. The a day later came the debit order as well. You can imagine what happened next.
The very next day I phoned home loans and requested that the money be reversed and I was told it cannot be done as I need to wait for it to become available first. Which I did.
Up to so far a month has passed and I have been speaking to numerous people (which most don't know what the true process is for this) in getting this money back and it seems that there is absolutely no way. The only option is wait a few months and get the flexi bond to accumulate enough for me to only then do the transfer.

I know that this was my mistake by manually paying amount in in the first place.
Please can someone help!!?
