First National Bank
Demand of letter from Home Affairs

I went to the bank to update info on my nephew's account and to change my surname. Firstly I the lady who helped me didn't greet me, she just said "what is it that you need help with". I then greeted her and she grinned and greeted back. She helped me with the first part, then when it came to changing of my surname she wanted a "marriage certificate" without asking why I was changing my surname. I told her I have a divorce decree, she then demanded a letter from Home Affairs confirming that I had changed my surname, though I had a recent I'd book which she claims she couldnt rely on. I asked her to refer me to her manager who had same attitude as her. I asked them to put their "demand" in writing as I didnt want to go the department to be sent back to the bank. The lady refused to put it in writing she said she will never do it, I went back to the "manager" very furios and told her she must give me the letter cos her junior wouldn't. She went to the back office and then came back to ask for the decree which initially was insufficient. I was eventually assisted by another lady whom the manager referred me to. I was angered by the manner in which I was treated, confidentiality???
