What now??

I had a break in at a house I owned on the 18th of November 2013. The burglar just two taps - but in the process of leaving the water running he damaged just about all the floors, doors and so on in the premises.
I reported the case to the police and got a docet number the morning of the 19th - I also lodged the claim with ABSA insurance on the 19th and received a claim number from them. (Claim nr 2484622) - when I lodged the claim with my broker/ABSA we informed ABSA that this property had been sold and the new owner will be taking occupation on the 1/12/2013 - ie this weekend.

The contractors ABSA appointed to do quotes/repairs only showed up this week on 26th of November - a whole week after the claim was first reported. Since we first lodged the claim we have been asking for approval to start repairs as time was an issue - to date we have not heard anything form ABSA.
I was promised an answer by latest yesterday...
The house is still not repaired - the new owner moves in this weekend, and we cant put on the water on the premises.

My question to ABSA is simple - WHAT DO I TELL THE NEW OWNER? He has given notice at his present home, he needs to be out - where does he go??
