I qualified for a credit card when I opened up my cheque account at standard bank, so a applied submitted my staff letter so I could qualify for staff rates. Firstly I was charged hectic amount for having a credit card in a positive balance. Secondly when I went to pickup the credit card at the sunny park branch first time and they sent it back to head office due to time frame which I understood. I apologized and asked them to recall it. I got SMS when it arrived and went back same day to pick it up. To my amazement they did not have the card. I complained and they told me somebody would call me. I got call from a lady hand she said she would send the are to midrand branch and would notify me of its arrival. This was 6 months ago I am still waiting. I have called and got transferred from department to department and everybody in incompetent I must say, their reply is go to a branch, i don't have time for that so eventually i gave up and left it. Now I have no card finance costs I owe for something that I don't have. I refuse to pay what I owe for something I don't have/ use
