I left Standard Bank over a year ago and closed all my accounts because I could not cope with the abysmal lack of service. But Standard Bank has continued to hang on the positive balance that was in my credit card and will not re-fund me. I have emailed them three times (I have also been into the Hyde Park branch twice to try and sort this out to NO AVAIL... the teller there is apologetic but they refuse to refund me the cash even tho it is an amount of under R300). They have also not deposited it into my FNB account - which they said they would - and they also don't pick up the phone.
Having moved house I have also been into the branch and emailed Std Bank at [Email Removed] to cancel my old house insurance... again... NOTHING. There is no response to ANY of my emails... and NO feedback from the branch.
I am so thankful to have changed to FNB but I am no closer to 1) Getting my positive credit card balance refunded (my credit card no longer exists) 2) cancelling the house insurance.
