I Have been getting sms's from Fnb that I should pay my outstanding amount to avoid Account closing and ITC, I have not been using the account for about three months as I been without work, today when I went into the bank to close my account the lady tells me that they won't close my account until I have paid R632.00, for three months amount so high for an account that has not been used at all, no money was even deposited into the account, I know an account is not free and there for the will be interest added each month, but the I see on my statement they have added even the monthly banking charges of R84.00 each months, whereby under my knowledge is for when you swipe or withdraw money, I might be wrong but how can you charge a person so much for something you did not use at all, I won't recommend FNB to any one as I though it was one of the best banks, my dad has closed his account also with FNB and no I understand why.
