I have closed my account at Standard Bank more than a year ago, and still gets statements with bank charges, I wend to Bedford Branch where the very helpful Sales girl told me that Alberton Branch must sort this out and that she can see the account is stopped but not closed.. I wend to Standard Bank Alberton 4 times now, where today the 27th of November they wanted to make me wait for more than 2 hours to see a Sales consultant.. The poor ladies sitting and waiting before me was already waiting for 2 hours, this was at lunch time where there is only 2 Sales Consultants open in a very busy bank.. RIDICULES.. Alberton Branch is one of the worst branches of any bank I have every been to, not once that I went there you where helped immediately, cause everybody takes lunch the same time.. NOW.. I AM FED UP.. MY ACCOUNT MUST BE CLOSED IMMEDIATELY AND THE COST WRITTEN OFF, I AM NOT PAYING FOR YOUR MISTAKE.. YOU CAN PULL THE RECORDINGS AND SEE THAT I PHONE 3 TIMES TO MAKE SURE THIS ACCOUNT IS CLOSED, AND EACH TIME THE LADY REASSURED ME THIS IS CLOSED, THEN 4 MONTHS AGO THEY TOLD ME TO GO TO MY BRANCH.. PLEASE SORT THIS OUT.. THIS IS WAY PEOPLE GO TO FNB..
