I recently bought a new car and ended up taking out insurance with both Outsurance and Budget.
Budget's offer was better from a price perspective, so I didn't take my car for an inspection to validate the outsurance contract. I somehow thought this would void the contract with Outsurance and neglected to inform them. Needless to say, they debited my account at the end of the month :-)

Upon calling in, I was directed to Sadhna in retentions. She politely assisted in explaining how an inspection is a condition of the contract, but not a prerequisite, and that processing a refund for my 'dual insurance' situation was actually a simple matter. She sent me an email listing to documents I'd need to get from Budget and also provided the documents I'd need to send to them.

Furthermore, Sadhna sent through a few informative brochures on the Outsurance product and called me to highlight differences in my cover so I could make a more informed decision. I didn't realise that I wasn't covered for hail damage for example, which is a must-have in JHB!

As if that wasn't enough, she later improved the Outsurance offer, getting me a much better premium and a lower excess than before!

Brilliant!
