I subscribed to EssentialMed on the 7/8/13. As I have a baby and knew that his immunizations would be coming up, I made it a point to confirm whether immunisations would be included in my policy. I would not have subscribed to the policy if immunisations were not included as this is a priority for me. My husband initially confirmed with Leandray on the 7/8 before we took out the policy. Thereafter, I also confirmed with Leandray to make sure. Subsequent to that I also confirmed with Marcus and lastly on the day before I took my son for immunisation (4 October), I confirmed with Marelize, who initially said it would not be covered. When I told her I confirmed with Leandary and Marcus she asked me to hold. She then came back and said she was! mistaken, immunization is definitely covered.

I took my son for immunisation 5/10. On the 11/11, I received an email from EssentialMed stating that in the future I will have to pay for immunizations myself as they do not cover it.

On the basis that I have taken out a medical policy with Essentail Med based on misinformation provided by their staff, I request that Essential Med pay for all immunisations going forward.
