ABSA Against its Own Safety Policies

Year ago I received a phone call from Credit SA asking me to disclose my ID number over the phone in order to increase my credit card limits. No one in ABSA knew that this company is working with them so they encouraged me to write a report. Credit SA had all of my details and ABSA never asked for permission to disclose them to any third party. Last week I had a phone call from ABSA asking me to disclose my ID No. over the phone for the same reason. All of them are phoning from the hidden numbers. When I received a money transfer from abroad I received a phone call from the undisclosed number asking me to confirm my ID or my money will be returned to sender. Finally I received my South African green ID book, I rushed to the bank to report it. Attachment to the ID is AN OFFICIAL ADDRESS REGISTRATION issued by DHA. ABSA did not accept my ID document as I did not have a bill where my address will be visible. In today's world banks are entitled to write and not to respect their own rules, to disclose your details and to make you feeling low and bad on any way they want. Hopefully this will change and we shall get honest, service with respect that we are charged for. Shame ABSA.
