I have recently found out that a car I had written off in December 2009 was still being billed for by my top up insurance. I phoned MFC to query this and the service I have been getting is totally apalling! The consultants are cheeky and the managers/seniors are ALWAYS unavailable. The consultants at my top up insurance company Zurich, were a pleasant dream to contact, they assisted me professionally and efficiently. While speaking to a consultant on Monday I also found out that MFC had decided to illegally bill my account without my consent or knowledge! The answer to my question of "How can you just bill me without my knowledge? "Consultant at MFC: "How else were we suposed to get the money if we couldnt get it from the top up insurance". The wonderful lady I dealt with at Zurich advised that there was never any claim put in from MFC to begin with, hence why Zurich was never aware of the car being written off. Another consultant at MFC sarcastic reply to me when I asked that someone contact me asap was: "Mr Rautenbach, you have been having money deducted from you for the past few years, I dont think another 48hrs will hurt you."I am very close to seeking legal advice!
