How hard can it be to release the funds?

I've been a Nedbank customer for more than 20 years and have been trying to get a tiny (R1, 500) increase on my overdraft for the past 7 days. It was approved last week Thursday and the forms submitted early Friday morning. But it's now four days later and the increase still hasn't shown up in my account. It's the first time in 5 years that I've requested an increase, my credit record is good and monthly debt repayments take up less than 10% of my salary (and that's including a car loan repayment).
If the increase has been approved, how hard can it be to let me access the money?
Before head office decided that branches weren't capable enough to deal with customers, you just went into your branch and dealt with a manager who had the power to make decisions. Now the branches are merely form submitters and "customer service" is in the hands of head office clerks who've never ever met you and operate purely by the book.
