A policy that should have been cancelled was not cancelled and as a result I was billed for this policy from 1 July to 1 November. I was assured that I would receive a refund on the Wednesday of the week I queried this (4 November). When this did not reflect in my account, I followed up only to be told that payment transfers were only done on 15th of the month and I would receive the refund by 16th or 18th. It is still not reflecting in my account. My complaint is about the poor service I have received from AF: empty promises, lack of response to my email queries, promises to call back once a check was done which did not happen. Lack of urgency on the matter despite my informing them that my medical aid was suspended as a result of the last deduction from my account which leaves me with no medical cover until I can pay the outstanding amount which I can only do once I receive the refund.
