I was on ABSA Platinum for several years and received adequate service from ABSA. Perhaps because I did not make use of the banker as much as others.

I recently upgraded to ABSA Private Bank and also applied a home loan on a second property.
For this transaction, I need to get feedback regarding money that need to be made available for the deposit.

The problem is, the same as earlier in the transaction, that I cannot get feedback from either the Private Banker or the mortgage consultant. I prefer contacting them via email when it is convenient for me to do so, also giving them the opportunity to reply when it is convenient for them. This is a lost cause as my emails are not being answered.
When I try to contact them telephonically, they are busy, not in the office, out to a client, on training, in Johannesburg or something like that. I have to keep on trying to contact them from my side until I manage to get hold of them.

This is a quote from the Private Bank product on the ABSA website:

'...exceptional private banking experience built on a lasting one-on-one relationship with a Private Banker...' and this is something I do not experience.

I expect better service.
