This is not the first time.. After being a customer in Private bank for more than 5 years.. I really had enough.
I was assigned to a new banker, Ruby Pienaar, she called and offered a package with world master card and priority pass and was done very efficiently. Afterwards it became very difficult to reach her. I called the office, cellphone and wrote her emails and she was very reluctant to help.. i even complained to Private bank then she would show up and give me empty promises and never answer my query again. A banker should not just try to promote their products! My friends (two of them who were also previously a clients of Absa private) have moved to Investec and have no problem at all!
She even told me things that are not true. she told me she cannot downgrade me from Absa Private bank to other Absa account. When I went to a random banker in Sandton branch, she told me any banker (especially a privately assigned banker such as R. Pienaar) should know how to do a normal banker's job. I am very disappointed..
