I had a loan with Wonga a few months ago (5 months ago to be exact)
I have fully paid them and sent them proof of payment AND they confirmed that the loan was fully paid.
5 months later they debit me R750 in October
We called and asked what the R750 was all about and they have the audacity to say it is correct as it was interest.
We then forwarded the proof of payment we sent to them 5 months ago and they realized that they have made a mistake. Had to go through the PAINS of calling and faxing and emailing etc.
No reference given to our calls made, it has been 2 weeks and still no proper feedback as to why they have debited me WTH
If I did check my bank statement then they would have gotten away with R750 of my HARD EARNED MONEY.
Bottom line is, do not make loans with these people because they are.
