Attempting to switch - hassle free???

I decided to do the "switch" and called on 6 November and did whole application online. I was told to email quotes and supporting docs to specific email addresses. After not receiving "quotes" I phoned where I was told that quotes take a day or 2... While still waiting I get calls and emails to submit documentation and after I did, I get responses that they cannot process anything as I need to first sign the quotes... One person even explained that they cannot give a quote if they don';t have my documentation such as proof of income, etc...!
I phoned the call centre a number of times and never got the same information as to what exactly I need to do and I still do not know after sending everything I can/have. When I raised my concern with the 5th person I spoke to thus far, she first wanted me to phone another number but when I refused, she promised somebody will contact me sometime today...
At this point, I don't know if I should still continue with the "switch" - if it starts like this???...disappointing
