On Saturday (20/07/2013) at 09:00 I phoned outsurance for a insurance quote on a vehicle that I bought last week. I spoke to a person by the name of Alfred. At first he seemed decent enough as we went through the process and questions regarding the quotation.
To make a long story short: He came up with a amount that was literally 3 times higher than the other quotes (with similar benefits) that I got from other places. I told him that its a bit steep, but that he must email me the quotation, he then told me that he'll speak to his manager regarding a better price and that he will phone me back. He eventually phoned back with a price that was still almost twice as high as the other quotes I received. I asked him to mail me the quote and that I'll think about it; he then changed his tone of voice and rudely says to me: "Now why do you make me seem incompetent (sic), I made all this effort to arrange for this discount and now you don't want to sign up for the deal? "
Outsurance; I want to state this categorically: I will decide on the product in my own time and will not be bullied or insulted. It is my right. btw, still waiting for the quote. Bending backwards? Yeah right...
