I have standard bank vehicle finance and it is a nightmare, i have recently retired and during the process of retirement informed them that i would not be able to pay as per agreement on date, of which they agreed and asked me to send through some documents. during that time i was lucky to have my things processed promptly and thus i made payments to the car, so i felt there was no need for a new agreement. they called me saing i hadnt paid of which i had and i sent through my my proof of payment of which they claim to have not received, i recently got emails from some lawyers representing standard bank who have no idea of the real balance or outstanding payments on the account off which are not there. im sick and tired of this. and it is so stressfull. these people are now threatening with reposession without checking facts. if this is how standard bank does things it is unacceptable and totally disregards the senior citizens of this country since my car payments are up to date.
