In July, we applied for a homeloan with std bank (after almost 2 years of being a client& moving all our business& personal accounts over). The application was messed up twice due to Homeloans saying they had not received docs submitted numerous times.3months later, fed up, I approached 2 other financial institutions for home&vehicle financing for our business. I was shocked when both declined me because I had an adverse listing from std bank for a mistake they made in their billing system which showed a revolving credit account I had to be in arrears when I was not. This DESPITE the fact that I had spoken to them on 3 occasions prior about this and they had acknowledged their mistake yet still listed me!
I approached them to fix this and they still have not removed me from ITC, only resubmitted my homeloan application and given me a letter to say I am not in arrears BUT this has not helped my credit record, I still got declines from the other institutions. Std Bank has been really careless with my profile and applications (we have lost business from not getting the van and stand to lose our house also), they have not done anything worthwhile or proactive as I keep having to chase them
