Left Standard Bank - Heres why

I had a student achiever account, it worked well however when I turned 26, it all went wrong.

I had standard bank vehicle and asset finance. Due to being paid by cheque, debt order was wrongfully dated to the 30th. I requested to change it to the 15th but got the response 'sorry you owe us money '.

I received a number of letters from you. Embodied energy results in a larger carbon footprint and a build up of clutter.

I wished to switch to an electronic access account. As per your own terms and conditions in the letter I received... it never happened.

I wished to change to elite banking, never happened. Was turned away due to my proof of address and your staff intentionally being difficult

I received sms's stating 'pdd' and 'lost remittance' for a post dated and missing cheque. Who speaks that way in SA with 11 official languages?

I had an outdated debt card with magnetic strip. Carbon footprint in finding an atm and cannot use online.

Your banking app is useless, you still have to walk into the bank to add beneficiaries and withdraw money to deposit into other banks.

Remember life is right, everything else is wrong. I won't change the way I live to accommodate my bank.
