I made a payment to DHL on the Public Recipients list. FNB is normally quite good, so i trusted the account details attached to this recipient would be correct. They were not.
Firstly, apparently the Acc number belonged to DHL's "std bank" account. Why on earth do they have the "std bank" acc number listed when DHL International have a FNB account???
My Parcel which is URGENT will now be delayed, so I have had to make another payment to the correct acc number supplied by DHL.
I was also told by a call centre agent at FNB that a payment made to a public recipient can NOT be reversed.
Not one of 3 people working in the call centre at FNB can tell me the Account number that is attached to DHL International on their Public recipient List???
I have NO IDEA what account number I have made the payment to, to try and have it reversed.
NEVER EVER USE THE PUBLIC RECIPIENT SERVICE OFFERED BY FNB
