Every year when doing my taxes i get bank statements. I ordered them last Thursday for the 2012 tax-year. they told me it would cost R20 a page. I didn't realise they would print so big and put so few lines on each page. Statements for my savings and my cheque account came to 63 pages!!!
This is DAYLIGHT! R20 x 63 = about R1200 for information about MY MONEY. So what if my statements are at another branch. i could not get there because i work in Joburg. Sure, charge me up to R5 a page, but put a month on each page at least, guys! I would have paid R120 without complaining.
Standard Bank, you are giving capitalism a bad name!!! And, no, i do not want to do internet banking. i am the customer and I should get to choose... Charge me that R1 200 and I will close all my accounts and go to Capitec or Nedbank.
