I have been trying to apply for a new product from FNB since May 2012 which was declined and when i inquired why i was not able to get an answer for over 3 months - i have wwent into numerous branches and been promised to be contacted which never happens, i wnt to the sandton branch on 12th December 2012 and the cosulatnt said he would get back to me (to date this has not happend) when i asked for a reference he rudely told met that this is not a call centre. the call centre advised me to go to my orignal branch in durban which i then did, i gave them all they requested and they said they would get back to me - this never happend, after numerous more calls and complaints - they then advised that they need more information one of which was about an account I closed over 6 years ago so i called a different branch and they could see the notes on the account that it was settled and closed so i dont understand why i was advised to contact the branch where i paid for proof? if the Bank which i have used for many years is not willing to assist me then mabe it is time to find a new bank.
