I received an sms today 25/10/2013 @ 14:46 from NuDebt stating the following; "Mr/Ms VAN ZYL, you are in CONTRAVENTION of the BROADCASTING ACT, Pay a min of R180.00 before 26/10/2013 or further actions may be instituted. Call NuDebt 0117245657 TV Lic 418082418."
I tried phoning them NUMEROUS times and even requested the call back service without response. I want to send them straight to for threatening me with further action, as I don't owe a CENT on my TV license. My license is paid up and valid until 31/5/2014 - TV Lic no. 606305100.
Is there any way we can stop the bullies from threatening innocent people like this? They need to be shut down with all the rest like MBD for trying to elicit money from consumers. I am not leaving this matter here and will be reporting them to any Ombudsman & public forum I can because this was now the last straw.
How can this still be allowed, especially in this day and age where we as consumers are supposed to be protected?
I have already laid a complaint against them at the OMBUDSMAN FOR DEBT COLLECTORS and will continue reporting them until they are forced to close their doors!
