I received an voice SMS stating that I will be handed over to attorneys if I do not pay my credit card account, which I don't have as we closed that account with them in 2009 already!!! So at 8:24 I phoned the Call centre, from my prepaid cellphone! to query the SMS. I gave my I'd nr and was informed by the agent I have no credit card accounts with them, I was informed to hold on and then was transferred through to the complaints department, without my knowledge, when the complaints agent answered the lined I asked if my query was resolved just to be informed by the agent that I phoned him so I must explain to him what happened? At this stage I really lost my cool. I requested the matter to be resolved and to be reimbursed with the airtime value I spent phoning the to correct yet another to Standard bank "system errors". As I was typing this complaint I received an SMS with a reference number for a complaint logged with the company, which I also did not do?
