Whilst driving 2 weeks ago i smelt smoke burning i quickly stopped to check what is wrong my friend got out and shouted fire i quickly switched of the car and ran to see what was going on luckily we were in a residential area and people helped to take out the fire with water and a fire extinguisher, the fire seemed to have started from the left front fog lamp but i am no expert but from what i and many unders saw the fire came from there as the left front bumper and fender melted with the flames and all the wiring around it been burnt which is a clear indication of where the fire started, My insurer kingprice appointed someone who thinks he is an expert and he came to visit me and have a meeting to say that the fire started because of my sound power cable which was not even in use at the time of the incident also there is no signs of a fire starting around my car battery or this cable, i was not happy with his response and just aksed him to move the vehicle to VW so they can do their investigation which he refused to do and my claim has still not been finalized he is also very rude and pretends he is still trying to finalize my claim???
