My husband has a policy with Standard bank life for retrenchment and for the last 2 weeks we have been trying to find out if he is able to claim. We sent them the documentation they asked for and I did a follow up on Tuesday and was told the lady dealing with the matter is on leave till Thursday- Toegeda. I called 3 times today and everytime I ask for the Claims department they tell me to hold for Customer Care. I then hold for a few minutes with nothing happening on the other side. The 3rd time I call I spoke to a person by the name of Jeremy and I told him if I do not go through to Claims now there's going to be big problems. He then told me I should not take out my mood on him as it's the 1st time I speak to him..Imagine!! Does it matter if it's the 1st time I speak to him, he represents a sorry excuse of a bank. Standard banks service is totally disgusing and I will surely never take out any policies with them let alone bank with them and will make sure my husband cancels his policies. I would like some service from them and for Jeremy to be taken to task. The number I called is 0115584034.
