This is the 2nd time that a claim has been denied by ABSA Insurance Company. I have agree to there first rejection of my claim because it was due to ware and tear. So i fixed to pool on my own account at a cost R37000. A month ago there was some earth tremors and a day after the swimming pool started draining.
Absa is now saying or there assessor (lets not mention that they are contracted by ABSA to reject claims) that it is due to bad workmanship.
I did not believe there assessor claims and got a local pool company in my are and they confirmed that the swimming pool cracked due to ground movement.
Strange thing is I did notice some strange holes appearing next to my swimming pool confirming that there must have been some sort of ground movement.
Take good advise from me and stay away from ABSA home insurance or any of there products.
