After applying for a Nedbank PocketPOS device, I received a quick response on the execution of the merchant agreement. Once all documents received, I received an e-mail, that payment is due. According to the Simplybiz website, one only has to pay when the merchant agreement has been approved. I e-mailed back, asking whether the agreement has been approved. I received no response. I subsequently paid and asked again what the procedure is from payment been made. No answer. I then called the customer care line to find out what the process is and why my e-mails aren't been responded to. I pointed out that I do not have the contact details of the person from Nedbank PocketPos since all e-mails are ended with "PocketPos team". The customer care assistant indicated that my query cannot be logged as it would delay the process and reassured me that the NedPocketPOS is legitimate. To date (7 days from logging a call to the customer care line), I have not received the device nor any communication on what the process is. This is very unprofessional business conduct and I would urge other consumers to think twice before considering a Nedbank PocketPOS device.
