Confused please help

I've been an FNB customer now for just over a year... and it took me that whole year to build up my eBucks status and only now do I start earning eBucks on regular things.
But then I had a conversation with my work colleague and he told me that he just opened his account last month and FNB rewarded him with 5, 000 eBucks.
Did FNB just forget about me or is this just a new policy that kicked in this year?
