My vehicle was and here's my "Valued Customer" experience. They PSG, wrongfully recorded the vehicle I drove as a more expensive model, which required a tracking unit, the actual vehicle i drove did not. So when my vehicle was, i was informed that the claim has been rejected due to the tracking unit not being functional. When I indicated that the policy was wrong and that my vehicle did not require a tracking unit according to it being under the value requiring a tracking unit, it was thrown back to me (they completed the form in their handwriting) to say the onus rested on me to ensure the policy was correct, so I suffered a R214000 loss.
Further to this, they PSG, refused to even pay back the difference in premiums between the more expensive model (that I paid for over 4 years) and the lesser valued vehicle I actually drove. So Happy that i the "Valued Customer" received the REAL valued treatment from PSG.
What is worst, is that when I indicated that I was going to take the matter up legally, I was met with "Please go ahead and see how far you will get"
Truly shocking that this kind of behaviour from a financial institution can just continue.
