Changed excess payment without my knowledge

Imagine my surprise when I lodged a claim and was informed that my excess was more than double than the amount I agreed to, changed without my knowledge to R9150.00. I am still waiting for the manager to phone me since November 2012 with regard to the excess that was changed. I did not receive any documentation from them to inform me of the change.
