7 Day Call Account query

I opened a 7 day call account on Friday 27 Sept 2013 and transferred funds via EFT on the same day.
I emailed the proof of payment on Tuesday01 October and received an automated respose (ref. CAS-58841-X0G6T9) but no response with my account details and activation of the account as I had requested.
Today on the 4th of October I called the Roodepoort branch and was told that I had to come in person to the branch with the proof of payment for them to activate the account! Which I find totally unacceptable as I hadd been told on Tuesday when I called the call centre that if I emailed the proof of payment the activation would be done and the details would be sent back to me!
I phoned the call centre again today and gave them my reference number - and apparently their system "froze" and they'll have to call me back!
I find Bidvest Bank's service appauling and unacceptable!!!
