On the 20th of August 2010 First Rand Bank Limited was granted a judgement against my name
(Case#15156/2010) for a home-loan account that had arrears. All this was caused by the fact
that I became unemployed between the periods of 31 March 2008 and 31 January 2012. I was
fortunate enough to find a job and saved my property from being auctioned and brought my
account up to date. A lady by the name of Reneiloe Sepharatla from FNB assisted me through
this process. On 23 October 2012 she sent me an email confirming that I my account was up to
date. On the 7th of November 2012 she confirmed that my details on ITC would be updated
and requested a lady by the name of Charlotte Minnaar also from FNB to
facilitate the process. On 22 July 2013 Charlotte Minnaar sent me a letter on an FNB
letterhead confirming that I have no arrears and my bond is currently up to date. My name still
remains listed though on ITC and this prevents me from getting any finance of the FNB judgement. I feel that this is unfair because I cannot afford to settle my bond which has another 13 or so years to go.
MUST I SUFFER BEING BLACKLISTED AND ITS CONSEQUENCES FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS?
