I took out a loan with a credit card last year December wich i settled this year March including credit card, I notice in April when when a debit order went off my account, I went to the branch to enquire they told me that I was suppose to tell them when I settle the credit card that I nolonger need it and they told me pay some admin fees and they assured me the card will be closed. Last month I applied for vehicle finance and they declined because the credit was still active and could not debit and that resulted to my ICT status being affected, I went to the branch and found a manager who confirmed the card is still active and explained to me that i need to write a letter and state i nolonger need the card she helped me with the whole process but I had to pay another money for admin fees, the manager told me to check after 48hours if the incident is logged, i did and they told it takes 7 working days. I recieved a call with incident number that the card is closed but now the challenge is, the financing banks can't approve my application. I need African Bank to write a letter that states i settled my account and it was not my mistake that the card is not closed hence no one told me
