I received an SMS from ABSA AIP services saying they will debit me for an extra R1600 for insurance as they don't have proof of insurance for the vehicle i have financed with them. This is a vehicle that is financed with ABSA for over 16 months already. Either way, I immediately called the Contact Center and emailed off the insurance they so claim to never have received. Leaves me baffled, as I would not have been able to take the vehicle off the showroom floor at the dealership on delivery. I am utterly disgusted and I WANT MY MONEY BACK immediately!! This has now happened after specifically asking the agent to make sure that i do not get debited. I'm ready to move my finance to another bank, I've about had enough of the sloppy service. How long do I now have to wait for ABSA to call back a 'so-called' valued client.
