In July I started looking to buy a house and discovered that a judgement relating to a debt that I had incurred whilst unemployed still reflected on my credit report... even though I had long since paid off the debt. I contacted the attorneys that collected the money and asked for their help.
I paid them and on 20 August 2013 they received the court order to have the judgement removed. On 21 August the lawyers sent the the request through to ITC and Experian to remove the judgement. Experian immediately removed the judgement.
However, ITC couldn't be bothered. I am now in a situation where I cannot get a house. The lawyers have given me a reference number but there is still no change in my credit record.
Do you understand the impact that your laziness or just couldn't be bothered attitude has on anyone's life?
If this isn't resolved next week, I will have no choice but to take legal action but more than that I will have to take it to a public forum - the media.
I am sure ITC laughs all the way to the bank everytime I, stupidly, pay for a credit report!!!
