I am not happy with how the company operate

I am Mr Ledibane my car was insured with prime meridian, now my car was involved in an accident on the 1st of September 2013 and they have request me to send them the claim form with number of documents within 24 hour after receiving the claim forms. I did all I can to submit the documents within the time schedule.
and today I spoke to the guy called Robin who told me that he received my file and they are going to do the investigation and get the phone recordings of the person who was driving the car and the process will take up to 30 days. and now I have the option of cancelling the insurance contract to stop the premium. ( which is now scarring me, whether it won't have the negative impact on my claim or the bank that finance).

I requested Robin to tell me the turnaround time on how long I should wait up until my claim being approved or my car being repaired, I failed to get the answer so, I am scared that whether I didn't get into the insurance because I have a feeling that this prime meridian is not intending to pay my car. and I am scared that many people they re going to get into these trap.

I can't even get the car but I have selected the car hire option
