I am pleased to see that the vast majority of Auto & General comments are compliments. Hopefully my current grievance with A&G can be resolved amicably. I currently pay X amount for my comprehensive car insurance which I found out is approximately three times more than my friends pay on their cars. Yes, I know there are a lot of factors involved in working out a clients risk profile. However, out of interest, I went on to A&G's website and entered my details to get an online quote. True as bob, their online quote was THREE times less than my current premium. An A&G consultant called me to confirm the quote, I told him I was an existing customer querying why I am currently paying so much. He referred me to the Retentions Department. I addressed my issue to them and am currently awaiting a response. For the record - my credit bureau records are clean, I have no defaults, judgments etc. I have also never had an accident and have had my licence 7 years (No, it's never been endorsed / revoked etc). The only time I have ever claimed from insurance was for the driver's side window glass (smash and grab). I drive a seven year old hatchback, not a Lamborghini! This is daylight.
