I am in the process of acquiring a Used 2012 Chevrolet Cruze 1.8 LT. I went online to the Auto and General website to get a quote and for the sales department to call me back. After completing the necessary information. I was emailed a quote for R2224pm for both my Car and Household insurance, which seemed like a very good offer. I was then called by the Sales consultant he took all my relevant details and went on to give me a quote of R3800pm for both my Car and Household insurance, pay about R3700 for just the Car insurance. Why is that online quote price completely different to the actual quote, R1600 Difference is not a small amount. My time was wasted only to receive an outlandishly high quote. It is more than my monthly installment for my Vehicle. Auto and General should not misrepresent the amount you will pay, to lure customers. R100 difference is acceptable not a R1600 difference.
