I took out insurance at first for women for the contents of my house hold. I was given a quote that I accepted wich was R292 p/month and also a admin fee of R254 once off. They send me my policy wich I had to go thru and if I see anything wrong must let them know. I replied just to let them know that my braai area has a thatched roof. Bruce I spoke with only asked me what type of roof the house has, wich I replied a normal tiled roof. They phoned me back and said that my new installment will then be and extra R450 per month plus the R292. How is this possible? I immediately cancelled my policy. I asked them when am I being refunded and the lady told me that they wont refund my whole amount as I've been insured for 5 days. Really? She said they will contact me. Today is tuesday and I phoned them back. Just so that they can tell me that the refund request hasnt even been made and that I wont be refunded. I dont see how this is possible? The guy that I spoke to put in a refund request and gave me a ref no 4537882. He said they will let me know in a few working days time. They want to keep more than R500 because I was insured for 5 days.
