I received a registered letter from FNB direct comparing insurance policies. Some weeks later I had a call from FNB direct asking if I was happy to change as FNB was no longer doing insurance. I wasn't impressed with FNB so I agreed. At the beginning of August FNB debited my account, despite having changed to FNB direct. When I spoke to them they told me I should have cancelled the policy. Reluctantly they agreed when I reminded them I hadn't initiated the new policy. I also asked them to make sure I wasn't debited twice again.
At the beginning of August due to high premiums & poor service I cancelled my FNB direct policy. Despite this I still received an sms reminding me of the debit for September. When I phoned I was assured this had been sent some time back & my acc wouldn't be debited.
In September my acc was AGAIN debited by both companies. In a respo se to an email I sent FNB direct asking them to sort out the problem, the resoponse was "It simply means they didn't receive it because you reversed it". Today I had an email from FNB direct "your premium is unpaid & this may affect your policy" What more must I do to get through to them?
