My fiance, applied for a home loan. It was denied. We asked why. We were told according to ITC report we are on a scale rating of 4, and Nedbank decline anything over 3. We were then told we missed 3 payments on our House & Home account, and that is the reason for our rating and denial. We have checked with House & Home, and have written proof that we have never missed or late paid an account. Now if, House & Home have never reported us, for what the bank claims, where is Nedbank getting this info from? If they can get our info so wrong, how many others have they messed up on. We have now had to fight with Nedbank to re-submit the application, and we get told, 4hrs to 4 days, to get an answer. Pathetic. This bank lost the opportunity to finance a new vehicle, because they were so lackluster (Westbank took the deal) and now they are about to loose a deal on a new bond. Come on Nedbank, get your backward info sorted (cant believe you use a third party for info, and then its wrong too). You base your decisions on false information. No very clever. You are about to loose a faithful client who believes in keeping all finances under one roof.
