Beware - outsurance don't cancel claims easily

What I am reporting is something that happened to us for a second time with Outsurance. In 2004 I was enquiring about the excess to be paid out to repair some damage on my car. This is then filed automatically as a claim. We phoned to say we are not going to claim, they then keep it on record as a "pending" claim! Therefore your outbonus is not paid out because there is a pending claim!
This time I checked bank records to see if our outbonus was paid in, only to find out that there is a "pending" claim from 2011 & we therefore counterfeit our outbonus from 2012 & 2013!
According to the attendant, it is our duty to phone and cancel if we are not claiming, which we did! But this claim was put on the "pending" status conveniently. My husband phoned to find out about the excess for replacement of a windscreen and she said according to the recording he later phoned to say we are not claiming, so they must cancel this "claim".
Is it my duty to check up every year after I made an enquiry about claims & then check up that they actually pay out what is owed to me??? Only to be treated so badly? Outsurance said they will make me happy by paying us for 2013! Well I'm NOT a happy client!!!
