First National Bank
PAYING FOR CARD WHEN INFORMED IT IS FREE

When going to the bank to activate internet banking I was informed that I must get a chip and pin card. I asked the lady (Trainee) that assisted met how much it would cost, she said that the first card if free. Based on that I continued with the process to get the new card, AT NOT COST TO ME! When I logged onto internet banking I see an amount deducted from my account for R75 - CARD REPLACEMENT FEE. I was never informed at ANY STAGE that there will be a fee payable and no disclosure of any cost was made to me. IN FACT I WAS TOLD THAT MY FIRST CHIP AND PIN CARD IS FREE!! FNB Please refund the amount of R75 to my account as the amount was never disclosed to me and I never agreed to the card replacement fee. Please also make sure that your TRAINEES know what cost is involved and that they must disclosed any cost to the client and the client must agree to those costs before they continue. My old debit card was working just fine and if I knew about the cost I would have kept my old debit card.
