My vehicle was struck in the front by a vehicle travelling on the wrong side of the road (in SA yes). If it was on a straight road I agree I would have done something else but this was still inside an interchange as I was following the road taking a left corner and before I was on the straight road this Outsurance client hit my vehicle. The problem I have is that Outsurance claimed that I am 30% responsible for driving on the correct side of the road. The fact is that I was taking a corner at the time and that I had no other option for going any other direction. The only option I had was to stop which the other driver disagreed with. I am also 30% responsible for the costs of the other drivers vehicle. I found this absolutely unbelieveble. In the meanwhile I received an offer from Outsurance which is about 50% of the repair costs! There was never a loss adjuster visiting me or my vehicle at any stage. I was insured by them for more than 10 years! The fact thus remains and will never change, they want your premium and that is where it ends. I expected my vehicle to be fixed and completely to the state before this accident, is that not why we have insurance? Be very careful.
